Thank you for taking time to report this bug and help making Ubuntu better.
Please post the output of synclient -l, to do so, start a Terminal(Ctrl+Alt+T) 
and run the following:
synclient -l > ~/Desktop/synclient-config.txt

Then skip to the end of this page to find a link titled "Add attachment
or patch", there you'll be able to attach th resulted file from your
Desktop.

Also, you can try to change the values and see if it works, to do so, fire-up a 
Terminal and run:
synclient <option>=<value>
Replace <option> with: FigerLow and FingerHigh, with some <value> slightly 
higher and lower then what appears on the log synclient-config.txt>
