Open drivers - suxx(slow). Prop drivers - suxx(buggy). AMD/ATI don't care about users - then AMD/ATI go to hell.
I sold my ATI HD 2600 to windows user. I bought NVIDIA GeForce 9600GT. And I am happy! Games work very fast, HD video work very fast and drivers on my Ubuntu 9.10 installing in just 2 clicks. I boycott AMD/ATI and I advice the same to you. They can't fix this bug almost year!
