I've updated the packages from the mentioned ppa. Additional to the border issue I get now quit frequently character distortions (cf. the second "(II)"- line in the screenshot of the terminal window) in different programs.
Please note (cf. comment #31), that using a compositor or not does not seem to have any influence anymore. In both cases I get the striped border and now the character distortion; i.e. disabling the compositor isn't a valid workaround anymore. ** Attachment added: "xfwm4-stippled_border-character_dist.jpg" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/1171411/+attachment/3946277/+files/xfwm4-stippled_border-character_dist.jpg -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1171411 Title: 8086:2a42 [Lenovo ThinkPad T400] xfwm4 displays distortions when using compositing on intel with sna To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/1171411/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
