Today I tried to test latest development version of ubuntu (64 bit), dated to 15th January. The system failed to boot on the HP ZBook 15. It started booting as usually but after a short while it stopped. Even the Ctrl Alt Del combination did not work and I had to use the power button to get out of the frozen status. The last line shown in the boot process was about random pool.
After downloading the iso image I performed md5sum check - it was OK. Then I burnt the image on a DVD - also successfully. So I guess that likely the development version is impacted by some issue and I should try a newer development version which hopefully will boot. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1255104 Title: HP ZBook, live ubuntu 13.10: freezes (a video driver problem) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1255104/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
