The bug does still occur on Trusty. I did a fresh install from the nightly builds (the AMD64-Mac ISO), and plugged in the monitor while running `top`. kworker takes up 100% of CPU and makes the system extremely unresponsive.
I rebooted, and ran apport-collect in order to generate the updated debug information. Thanks for your time, please let me know if there's anything else you need from me. Somebody in the Ubuntu forums thought they might have a workaround, here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2191275 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-nouveau in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1248256 Title: Plugging in displayport monitor causes kworker to take 100% CPU To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-nouveau/+bug/1248256/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
