Install the proprietary driver could make it work, therefore this bug is
no longer a blocker.

** Description changed:

  CID: 201303-13015 Dell Optiplex XE2

There is one DP port and one DVI port on this video card.
DVI video output works fine, but DP does not.

  Steps:
  1. Boot with DVI port plugged, install 12.04.3 + update (3.8.0-35)
  2. Try to boot with DP port or hot plug the DP cable

  Expected result:
  * DP port video should work.

  Actual result:
  * The big Dell logo will shows up, then the purple screen without any text,
finally no video signal detected, monitor will enter idle mode.

  Note:
  * If you use a HDMI->DP adapter, it works.
- * DP port video output could work with fglrx installed, but the "Unsupported
Hardware" watermark issue (bug 1224897) with fglrx will make both this bug and
that one become blockers.
+
+ WORKAROUND:
+ * Install the proprietary driver could make it work, therefore this bug is no
longer a blocker.
