Hi Christopher, To be honest, I don't recall. I only very recently loaded Ubuntu on this particular machine and don't remember from which version I started. I have another HP Pavilion desktop machine which has been running Ubuntu for several years and I've never had the same issue. However, it has a different graphics card.
