Public bug reported: I am not very technical.
But, I remember a few things. About two errors shows up on log in. One of which is that Ubuntu 13.10 has experienced an internal error. Did not read the other. The mouse cursor is missing in action, both in the Unity-Greeter and after Log in. Window frames are without border. It seems that unity has crashed. Sorry, that's all I know. Thanks for your help.
