EDIT: For the script to work you need to have the build dependencies of
xserver-xorg-input-evdev and xserver-xorg-input-synaptics. To install
them, first enable source repositories

(Ubuntu:
http://askubuntu.com/questions/158871/how-do-i-enable-the-source-code-repositories
Mint: menu->software sources->Enable source code repositories)

and then

sudo apt-get build-dep xserver-xorg-input-evdev xserver-xorg-input-
synaptics

-------------------------------
The debian packages for xserver-xorg-input* can be obtained by

git clone git://git.debian.org/git/pkg-xorg/driver/xserver-xorg-input-evdev
git clone git://git.debian.org/git/pkg-xorg/driver/xserver-xorg-input-synaptics

If you don't have git installed you can install it via

apt install git
