Sridhar, are you still having consistent issues as you had on 13.04? On my laptop in particular, I have had no issues since the spawn of 13.10. I've been running 14.04 beta for a few days and that too has been problem free in terms of freezing.
I can't help but to wonder if the 3.8-3.9 series kernel was the problem. I read similar reports with other distros using these kernels as well. If I recall, I believe I even ran Fedora and had it hardlock using the 3.9 kernel (3.9.3 or something?). At any rate, 3.10 and above seems to have helped. Just wanted to throw in an update. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1188774 Title: 8086:0126 [Lenovo ThinkPad Edge E430] [snb] 13.04 goes into hard lock mode randomly.
