It would be more useful to get some logs with the device already connected, but I'm seeing in the logs:
[ 5.126206] [Firmware Bug]: Duplicate ACPI video bus devices for the same VGA controller, please try module parameter "video.allow_duplicates=1"if the current driver doesn't work. Maybe try booting with video.allow_duplicates=1 added to the kernel command line? ** Changed in: xorg (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid ** Changed in: xorg (Ubuntu) Status: Invalid => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1325661 Title: second monitor problems To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1325661/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
