I am working on an Acer Aspire 5516 model KAWG0 
i did a fresh install of Ubuntu 14.0.4 at the very beginning the touch pad was 
no functional but I was able to successfully use a USB mouse. I followed the 
trouble shooting steps listed in the forums when I typed "cat 
/proc/bus/input/devices" in terminal the results were
