Odd, this seems to work on on my Dell Inspiron 15. Tested "Suspend to Disk" and "Suspend to RAM". Both gernerate the log message indicating an image was written to disk. Both resume normally with "Suspend to RAM" being execptedly faster. My machine was also upgraded from 13.10. I don't know if anything older than that was installed.
