Martin Wolf, thank you for reporting this bug to Ubuntu. Raring reached EOL on January 27, 2014. See this document for currently supported Ubuntu releases: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases
Just to clarify, a bug in the upstream fglrx would only be supported by AMD, as it's not from a Ubuntu repository. However, if one uses the one that came with the Ubuntu repository, then this is supported here in Ubuntu. Hence, is this an issue in a supported release with the repository version? If so, could you please execute the following command, as it will automatically gather debugging information, in a terminal: apport-collect 1175910 Please ensure you have xdiagnose installed, and that you click the Yes button for attaching additional debugging information. ** Package changed: ubuntu => xorg (Ubuntu) ** Changed in: xorg (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Low ** Changed in: xorg (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1175910 Title: ubuntu does not finish booting to login To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1175910/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
