Ubuntu 13.10 If fglrx is installed from Software & Updates > Additional Drivers, upon reboot I get a black screen with a cursor (cursor freezes if I try to move it around) after getting past the login screen. I did Alt+F1, purged fglrx (sudo apt-get remove --purge fglrx fglrx_* fglrx-amdcccle* fglrx-dev*), rebooted (open source driver was working), and installed fglrx from the console (sudo apt-get install fglrx fglrx- pxpress) and voila, fglrx installed and working. ** Affects: fglrx-installer (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Confirmed ** Tags: fglrx radeon software-updates -- Saucy 13.10 fglrx only works when installed from console https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1248255 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to fglrx-installer in Ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
