I just plug in the VGA cable. The external monitor is detected acc.to dmesg. A
USB mouse works OK.
The problem lies somewhere with synaptic driver.
If I simply put down a finger on the touchpad and hold it still, the cursor
still fidgets in random directions by a couple millimeter increments.
