More debugging information: Base on the error message, I tried to install linux-generic-headers and reinstall the driver, then link the shared object file with: sudo ln -sf /usr/lib /usr/lib64 sudo mkdir -p /usr/X11R6/lib64/modules/dri/ sudo ln -sf /usr/lib/dri/fglrx_dri.so /usr/X11R6/lib64/modules/dri/fglrx_dri.so
It looks like this has resolved the .so file not found issue, but from the log it complains about there is no /dev/dri/card0. (The actual location is /dev/ati/card0) Reference: http://askubuntu.com/questions/465243/how-to-use-fglrx- proprietary-driver-for-dual-ati-radeon-hd-5670-crossfirex-in-ub -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to fglrx-installer in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1417952 Title: [HP Pavilion 23 AIO] Stuck on the ubuntu loading splashscreen with fglrx installed To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/hwe-next/+bug/1417952/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
