Public bug reported: I am unable to type properly on the Dell xps 13 2015 model (Ubuntu vivid) without first disabling "click to touch" in settings. The cursor jumps to wherever the mouse pointer is and starts typing from that point. Currently I cant type even three words straight without the third word getting inserted somewhere in between the earlier words or entire paragraphs getting deleted because of auto-selection...
I tried setting PalmMinZ=100 in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-synaptics.conf but no luck after a reboot. According to this page : http://xps13-9333.appspot.com/#touchpad this was fixed in kernel 3.16 but I am on kernel 3.19 and the problem still exists.
