Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xorg
Actually three bugs: 1) With my computer the X1300 card comes up with a large lined block cursor. I have reason (during booting) to think this is a BIOS problem. 2) Fixing that with SWcursor in xorg.conf works, but then setting "xrandr --output DVI-0 --auto --left-of VGA-0 --auto" later in a cript causes the xserver to: restart->login->restart-> etc.... over and over. If it's not in the strart up the cursor is ok but I don't have an extended "screen". Excuting xrandr... above crashes the server; and so on. 3) I fixed the problem via xorg.conf "RightOf" after a lot of diddling. 4) The "radeon" driver doesn't have the correct display parameters for the ACER AL2216W moniter; but that also can be fixed in xorg.conf. I feel that I have enough system control to reproduce all three failures at will. I am just looking for the correct place to post the various log files; and guidance on what files are of interest.
