You have been subscribed to a public bug: About my system: Live-CD: Ubuntu Desktop 9.04 Graphics card: GeForce 8400 GS
What I did: Boot the live cd while two monitors are connected (one to the analog slot of my graphics card, the other using a dvi-to-analog adapter to the dvi slot of my graphics card) What I expected: Installer/Live environment show up and are usable What happened instead: For the installer, I see the background image of the installer and nothing happens. For the live environment, there is only a black screen with a movable mouse pointer on it. I've tried the boot option "nofb", but it didn't help. The problem does not occur if I disconnect one of my monitors. After the installation, I can connect the second monitor and set it up as without problems. ** Affects: xorg (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: cd dual live monitors -- live cd does not properly show desktop or installer when two monitors are connected https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/434284 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
