Yes, the system is definitely unusable. The screen is black for about 30 seconds, and then the login screen appears.
Obviously, all running programs have been stopped, which means a potential data loss. Today it happened two times in a row, both times when Shift-clicking on the “Reply” button at an e-mail in Thunderbird.
