You have been subscribed to a public bug: I have experienced some noticeable differences in performance of the graphics card (Intel® 965GM x86/MMX/SSE2) in Ubuntu to compared with Windows XP.
In Smokin Guns Game, in lowest graphics, could not more than 60 FPS. In Windows XP, with maximum definition, played games requiring graphics capabilities, such as evalution Pro Soccer 2008 and 2009, FIFA Street, Counter Strike Source, Prince of Persia and GTA San Andreas, and the computer didn't lose performance. In Ubuntu, the simple game, Smokin Guns ( http://forum.smokin-guns.org/ ), play just 40/60 FPS in lower graphics...
