I think I had the same issue on my Asus Eee PC 701. I filed a bugreport under linux because downgrading to the previous kernel solved the issue: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/441577
I apported my logfiles both with the older and the newer kernel.
