These steps are already performed by the configuration step when installing the driver. (If this was broken, we'd be seeing a LOT more bug reports and would be easy to reproduce; I've not seen this on my own hardware with fglrx).
Without knowing the background to your issue I can only guess what's going on. Sounds like you interrupted installation midway through, before it finished doing the configuration step. Probably if you were to do a full reinstall of the package it'd work properly. If I'm wrong, feel free to reopen the bug but please provide a more detailed description. ** Changed in: fglrx-installer (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- FGLRX: Some settings files do not named rightly in fglrx driver (8.660) in Karamic Koala https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/444438 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to fglrx-installer in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
