The issue persists with kernel 4.6-rc4. However it disappears (fixed?) with the intel nightly drivers as of April 16th 2016 (from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/drm- intel-nightly/2016-04-16-wily/ ).
