My current guess that xorg crashes when the IP addresses change. When i had the system as from the Lubuntu installation, it worked.
I then installed my regular software environment, and it started crashing, but after login. I then removed NetworkManager and replaced it with /etc/network/interfaces, and it crashed even earlier, before login. But it works when I first boot into maintenance (root shell) mode, just wait until the system has it's IP address, and then proceed, it works fine. So I guess that it somehow runs into trouble if there is no outer IP address when X11 starts or when the IP address changes. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg-server in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1574675 Title: System crashes after login To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg-server/+bug/1574675/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
