The beginning of this page says issue is fixed for xserver-xorg-video-intel on
Ubuntu, but there is no obvious link to the fix or instructions.
I am running Lubuntu 16.04 and my xserver-xorg-video-intel version was
2:2.99.917+git20160325-1ubuntu1 (it is a one, and not an "L" in front of
ubuntu) and after doing an update in "Synaptic Package Manager" it still said
this was the latest version, so I searched for the version you see if you hover
over "xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu)" which is
2:2.99.917+git20160706-1ubuntu1 and found it here:
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/yakkety/+package/xserver-xorg-video-intel

However, this is for 16.10 and this bug is reported for 16.04, but I still
downloaded this and installed by running commands:
sudo dpkg -P xserver-xorg-video-intel
sudo dpkg -i xserver-xorg-video-intel_2.99.917+git20160706-1ubuntu1_amd64.deb

I then rebooted and tested and issue appears to be fixed.
I hope this helps others.

Mike
