The reason I'm reporting this problem is: I'm running Ubuntu 14.04, I have no plans to upgrade to 16.04 (older laptop, maxed out at 2Gb RAM), yet System Update insists on suggesting to upgrade my HWE stack (Vivid: EOL). Doing so results in a show-stopping video performance degradation.
