Public bug reported:

Some text in system menus disappeared after laptop lid closed and opened 
(laptop resumed from suspend). Some text was visible but after moving mouse 
pointer on it - it disappear (refreshing I think). 
Looks similar to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1434351 
but I didn't notice such issue previously (using xubuntu about two years)
