With Karmic beta: When testing the Live CD, enabling second monitor (while disabling internal laptop display) caused both screens to go black. It was possible to move the pointer from one screen to the other before the system froze hard after a couple of seconds.
Disabling visual effects before enabling the second monitor got both screens working, except that input from the pointer seemed to go to the wrong screen (clicking in the left screen would click ui-elements in the right one if hit by chance). After installing and disabling visual effects, enabling the second monitor got things working like expected. For some reason the rightmost monitor was set to display 0, so I had to move the GNOME panel bars to screen 1 with gconf. -- [i945GM][xorg-edgers][2.6.31-020631rc6-generic] Unable to set virtual size greater than 2048x2048 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/415822 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
