Public bug reported:

Hello. I've tried to write on askUbuntu and to the Dell Support but got no
answers.
My problem is that I can setup my trackpoint properly on Ubuntu. It works
awesome on Windows with or without drivers installed.
I've come across this thread
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-input-synaptics/+bug/1590590
which says that trackpoint is not recognized by ubuntu on 16.04 and it was
fixed in 17.04
So I thought that 5470 and 7470 are pretty close and tried new 17.04 ubuntu but
the result is the same.

with xinput on 16.04 command I was able to set up 3 parameters but on
17.04 there are no such parameters:

xinput list-props 13
