Thanks for taking your time to report this issue and help making Ubuntu
better.

When comparing the two different veresions, see [1] and [2], it looks
like the underlying reason is that libgles1-mesa is no longer built so
there's no newer version to replace the old one. I believe I have seen
other bug reports regarding libgles1-mesa missing from newer mesa
releases, but I can't find those at the moment, nor do I know if it has
been intentionally removed.
