** Description changed: Binary package hint: xorg I'm using up-to-date Jaunty. I have Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo LSL 3230T 23" monitor connected to a HP nw8440 laptop via VGA cable. The resolution is correctly set to 1920x1080 and the monitor is identified as FUS 23" but the image quality of the screen is not perfect. I would describe it as small horizontal waves are running from the top of the screen to the bottom. I do not have this problem if I boot Vista on the laptop, the screen is perfect. Also there is no problem if I connect it to another Jaunty box with an nvidia card. I will try to take a picture of the screen if needed. I'm trying to attach everything useful to this report. + + [lspci] + 00:00.0 Host bridge [0600]: Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/PM/GMS, 943/940GML and 945GT Express Memory Controller Hub [8086:27a0] (rev 03) + Subsystem: Hewlett-Packard Company Device [103c:30a3] + 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: ATI Technologies Inc M56P [Radeon Mobility X1600] [1002:71c5] + Subsystem: Hewlett-Packard Company Device [103c:30b4]
