BertN45: 1) To advise, the scope of this bug report is only how the guest screen freezes after maximizing a window when 3D acceleration is enabled. It is not about the booting issue using Oracle Guest Additions 5.2.6. It is helpful if you file a new report about the booting issue in a terminal: ubuntu-bug xorg
