The problems started a few days ago after updating xserver-xorg-video-intel package to "version 2:2.9.0~git20091007.03e8e64f- 0ubuntu0tormod3~jaunty", update was done automatically from repository "deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/xorg-edgers/ppa/ubuntu jaunty main".
