  I and several other people have been having problems with the 
xserver-xorg-video-psb driver when upgrading kernels.
  Doing...
  
  apt-get remove psb-kernel-source
  apt-get install psb-kernel-source
  
  ...after installing the new kernel, running from it either on low
  resolution or on text console, solves the problem. Could you manage to
  make that run automatically on each kernel update?
