As recommended, I have uninstalled xserver-xorg-input-synaptics, updated libinput10 and libinput-bin to 1.10.3-2, otherwise updated the whole system, rebooted and the problem is still present for this Logitech wireless touchpad. Reinstalling xserver-xorg-input-synaptics takes care of the problem though. So I’d say there is indeed an ongoing issue here. Let me know is can help/test further.
