Public bug reported: I have been trying to report this problem through bug 1789962, but with little luck (.crash files were not uploaded). Now I tried reporting against xwayland instead of gnome-shell. I also installed more .dbg packages for xwayland, wayland, kodi and gnome-shell.
So far, it looks like the crash data was not uploaded for this bug either. I don't see it at https://errors.ubuntu.com/user/39229ebea988d6578bed98d7e18bd96fd9cd523cf89495ed70d4ce4c0f8b7937667368f389be8d8b2588bafc31d1935109305b4abf52dbb724a7cf43c3b425b4.
