I've been dealing with this issue since December 2018. It acted to me like a graphic problem, so I posted a bug #1807264 as a video crash. No help or comment on the bug report. In the hopes that a new kernel will help, I'm continually upgrading to the newest. No luck, so far. I would be satisfied to be able to turn off hibernation/suspend completely, but there is no help with that either. This needs to be addressed.
