Nothing new comes out in the crash report.

I shall try to apply the work around from
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lightdm/+bug/994921 as
suggested in step 3 of the instructions you have linked to.

I do not need to apply it as it is already in place.


So what next... apport-collect perhapse although it seems that enough debug may 
be already posted.  Maybe just a reboot of my system (as I cannot restart a 
service) and move on.
