*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 360319 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/360319
As a temporary fix, I have added the following memory usage limits to /etc/security/limits.conf root soft data 30000000 root hard data 60000000 It seems to work well and I can run many intensive X applications like wine and firefox without the intensive memory usage and swapping I experienced until yesterday. I'm using xserver-xorg-video-intel, version 2:2.8.1-1ubuntu1 -- (UXA) swap space is not freed when it is no longer used https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/369759 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
