I'm using a HP Pro X2 612 G1. It has VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Device 0a1e (rev 0b) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller]) Subsystem: Hewlett-Packard Company Device 221b. The external Monitor (connected to DisplayPort) is recognized, but it the grafics is distorted and flickering. There is no hardware issue, because the same configuration is working with windows 10.
Booting Linux version 5.3.0-26-generic (buildd@lgw01-amd64-039) (gcc version 7.4.0 (Ubuntu 7.4.0-1ubuntu1~18.04.1)) #28~18.04.1-Ubuntu SMP Wed Dec 18 , Command line: BOOT_IMAGE=/vmlinuz-5.3.0-26-generic root=UUID=480802c1-9e34-498b-bce0-044986a92dfc ro quiet splash i915.edp_vswing=1 vt.handoff=1. I tried booting without any i915 parameters, but it doesn't change the behavior. Any ideas what's going wrong ? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1686189 Title: External monitor connecting problem on Intel graphics card To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1686189/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
