It looks like a bug in an old driver, possibly relating only to old video cards. So a fix is unlikely to arrive in that particular driver version.
You might want to try uninstalling the Nvidia driver version 390 and then either: * Do nothing -- the built-in open source driver should work; or * sudo apt install nvidia-driver-435 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to nvidia-graphics-drivers-390 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1871303 Title: [nvidia] Xorg crashes in (EE) NVIDIA(0): Failed to allocate software rendering cache surface: out of memory To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-graphics-drivers-390/+bug/1871303/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
