I tried getting a debug log of drm.i915 using "drm.debug=0x06" as a kernel parameter. In the log dmesg.txt there's a "hotplug event received" in batches, everytime one of those appears, my screen flickers. Which is weird to me since I don't unplug my fixed laptop screen. It's likely that this is not a hardware faillure since this problem is not reproducible on Windows.
