Thanks for the bug report. It appears at least half the problem was
using an old unsupported graphics driver, which makes this a duplicate
of bug 1867668.
To be sure you have removed that so we can focus on the remaining issues
more clearly, please now open a new bug by running:
ubuntu-bug xorg
and then tell us the new bug ID.
