Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xorg
The xorg update which messed with my girlfriends linux build (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/455300) also killed my (more experimental) one. Mine is different in that I run a much later kernel linux- image-2.6.31-02063103-generic Until today, everything was fine, but the latest xorg update killed it with a black screen on boot. I now have to run linux-image-2.6.30-02063008-generic to see my screen. Shame, as the later kernel version has some improvements on the video front. I think this bug should be reported against the upstream version of xserver-xorg-video-intel... 2:2.9.0-1ubuntu2~xup~1 ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 DistroRelease: LinuxMint 7 Package: xorg 1:7.4~5ubuntu18 ProcEnviron: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcVersion: Linux version 2.6.30-02063009-generic (r...@zinc) (gcc version 4.2.3 (Ubuntu 4.2.3-2ubuntu7)) #02063009 SMP Thu Oct 8 14:14:38 UTC 2009 SourcePackage: xorg Uname: Linux 2.6.30-02063009-generic i686 UnreportableReason: This is not a genuine LinuxMint package ** Affects: xorg (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 -- Regression in x-swat's xorg updates on kernel 31 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/455361 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
