I applied the patch attached (libX11) but the crash still occurs with less frequency. Maybe i missed some additional patch required to fix this.
For the record: I am running LUbuntu in this PC box (upgraded from 16.04 to 18.04) and i have another one with Ubuntu 18.04 + LXDE installed from scratch that doesn't get the error.
