Public bug reported: I have installed the nouveau driver as the latest nvidia driver was not working in my system (blank screen after reboot). The X11 session is starting up fine, but whenever I open the Ubuntu settings the X11 session is killed, the system goes back to the logon screen and all processes are lost.
