When drmSetMaster fails it generally means a display server (Xorg) is trying to start while some other display server is already busy with the graphics hardware (has not yet called drmDropMaster).
That "other" display server might be plymouthd if the login screen fails to start. To test that theory you can try changing the kernel parameter "splash" to "nosplash". -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg-server in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1920067 Title: Somehow today's Hirsute updates have broken evdi with Xorg even when I boot with the 5.10 kernel To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mesa/+bug/1920067/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
