Hi aaron, after building up my hate again towards microsoft for two months (bought a new fancy laptop, upgraded to windows11, and my screens connected via display link went dark from time to time, no fix, really freaking annoying), I thought %&#$ this, I'll try ubuntu one more time.
Installed 20.04, downloaded the drivers for displaylink. Went through all the misery listed above. Installed 21.10, downloaded the beta drivers from display link. Bam. Works like a charm.
